Im looking to get a new depth finder, and im not wanting to spend alot since i usually only use them for temp and depth, and everynow and then actually go by the display. What are some good ones for cheap, im hopeing to go get one today actually. My last one was an eagle magna II. i was looking at the Humminbird Pirahnamax 150 0r 170, anyone know anything about these?

If thats all you need them for then those should work well for you.

I have a PiranhaMAX 150 I am mounting on my canoe for just that: temp and depth and just a general idea of fish in the area. I don't expect much because of the thick vegetation around these deep south lakes and I know the bass and large bream like to hide deep in there.

The only real difference is the 150 is single beam, 160 and up is dual beam, 170 puts more power to the beam to get through thicker vegetation and hopefully better depth reading, 190c has color screen.
