I have a Triton V186 Mag.  It's an aluminum rig, but man it rides good with the Merc 150 on it.  I've rode in and drove several TR21s and can say that they are an overall good rig.  Seems like they had an issue with chine walking, but it's been corrected with the new hull.  Can't go wrong with a Triton, regardless of the make or model.  Just my 2 cents.
Tight Lines and God bless

Must have been sometime after 2002. I own a TR21DC WITH A 225 Yamaha. It came equipped with a 3 blade 27 pitch prop which, when trimmed out, the boat would chine walk. I went to a 25 pitch 4 blade prop and corrected the issue. Lost a little speed on top end but eliminated the chine walk.

I have said it many times on other boards throughout the years, I have had 6 Triton's, 5 Gamblers, Ranger, Procraft, Stratus, Baja and even a Smokercraft. Yea I know I am going way back but my best boat ride, looks performance was my 1999 TR21 dual console with the Johnson 225HO motor when it first came out. Not a big fan of that motor but it ran very good. The handling and fishability of that boat was great. I would take that boat today without question. You could be wot going down the canal and when you hit that sweet spot trimming it up it would just pop right onto the pad and go. No chime walking.
Loved that boat.

I had 1999 TR21 with 225 EFI, love the ride ( after I learn to control it ) but didnt like the EFI - blow it later on, The TR21X with the 225 optimax is a sweet ride. love it, had it for 2 years and nothing but fun.

I think the best ride will be TR21X with 250 Pro XS.
