I was at the VA Fishing Expo today and noticed a new company there that hasn't been there in the past named Deep Creek Lures out of North Carolina.  Their website is www.deepcreeklures.net.  They were very adamant in expressing that their lures were made out of Raw Virgin Plastic.  They even stress this on their website as well.

What is the difference in Raw Virgin Plastic vs. say 502 blend from Lurecraft or any other plastic for that matter?  I was also told that their lures were hand poured but I find that hard to believe as I couldn't find any flaws in their baits and none of the colors bled into the other on their two-tones.  I could maybe understand Hand Injected but hard to believe hand poured.  I was also told that this was why all their baits floated without any additives.  I'm not talking floating with just a hook.  The guy rigged a 1/4oz shakey jig with one their worms and the worm stood it on end.  He then rigged a 3/8oz jig that I bought at another stand with one of their craws and it stood on end.

After 5 seminars taking place at the bass tub, with no hits at all, one of the reps for the above company walks in there after G-man is done w/one of his demonstrations, and throws one of their senko style baits in the tub and the fish literally fought over the lure until it was ripped in several pieces.  That's what prompted me to go check them out.  So back to my question, does anyone know what the significance of Raw Virgin Plastic is?

Dug

raw virgin plastic just means it's not recycled in anyway.

In the end, it's not going to matter how many breaths you took, but how many moments took your breath away.

Is this the same stuff as the Lurecraft 502 or Calhoun plastics?  If not, do you know where to find it?

Yup.   I agree.

Hand poured could mean done by hand with an injector too, not necessarily poured by hand.

or hand poured into a robot. like roboworm( hence the name ROBO worm) or berkely.  There arent a bunch of people hand pouring those baits.
