I have two questions.

I just bought a 93 nitro traker. Right by the drivers side there is a lever does anyone know what this is for?

I have a 93 150 mer oil injected. The person I bought it from bought it from a boat mechanic who put a 175 power head on it. The person I bought it from said it ran really good but I am having trouble with the morning starts. Its almost as if when it starts it loaded up. It will turn over fire and stop repeatedly. Does anyone know what the problem might be?

For the handle it might be a live well control, maybe. Hard to tell...if you could post a pic that might help us. As for the motor starting in the mornings, have you tried starting it with the throttle advanced alittle? if you hold in the shift advance button you can advance the throttle without putting the motor in gear I know I have to do that with mine in the cold mornings to get her warmed up. Hope this helps.

That is what I thougt the lever was for but I have never had a newer boat before. How does the lever work?

The way I would think it would work is you lift the lever and then advance the throttle a little bit to open the carbs up. As I said this will allow the motor to rev with out the prop turning. I hope this helps.
