It's mid-September and the cicadas are screaming from the oaks and poplars lining the banks here on the Catawba river. If you are hearing the same thing on your favorite bassin' water, break out a Heddon Tiny Torpedo and bust some bass! Bass love to eat cicadas (We call 'em "jarflies") and concentrate in areas where the big bugs are likely to fall in the water. Be sure to have several in your tacklebox in case a big carp takes one away from you like happened to me last week. I landed one in the 20# range, but couldn't turn another one. ( I guess he's still wearing my Torpedo. :'() Anyway, I caught a limit of bass on  topwater, which is more fun than almost anything else I can think of.  :)

nothing beats topwater fishing just seeing the big bass jump out the water and taking the lure is so exciting
give a man a fish he eats for a day. But you teach a man to fish and his wife wont see him again.

Love the top water hits.  I have been using the Zoom frogs alot right now here in VA.

There was a bait on the market a year or 2 ago that looked like a cicada. :-*

Being an old trout fisherman I love topwater lures and heddon tiny torpedoes are killer.
