New rod and reel setup?

I get to pick any setup I want and the only thing I know is that I need something I can jig with, What should I get?

i would get a st. croix 6'6 M power spinning rod w/ a flugar president reel. That is a good jigging rod

If you are fishing for S or L Bass. A top water bait at high water temps 72 to 80 in shallow waters  (i.e.michigan), surface shallow water surface artifitcal will work. Rubber natural colored worms will work, bass stoppers.
