I'm using some Black .035 Square flake from Del-Mart in softbaits, it seems to settle a bit faster/more than some of the other glitters. Has anyone else noticed this?

I'm using a presto pot with a motorized stirring system I built.

I've had this happen before with some flake. When this is happening to me I just add the flake later in the heating just before the pour. Give that a try it won't cure the problem completely but you end up with less flake in the bottom of the pot. You can also try knocking down the heat 10 or 15 degrees too. Just a thought.

If you have a stirring system, most of your flake should stay in motion. Black does settle quickly. Keep a spoon handy to stir up the settled flake every once in awhile.

Thanks, I didn't know if it was just me or what.

I used to pour regularly. Not familar with your brand but for black flake we always went with a poly version and it helped. Also stole (borrowed) a bunch of tuonge depressors from a doc to stir with occasionally.

It's been 15 years since I was pouring though
