anyone know what the best adhesive to use for putting carpet in a jon boat would be??  How much does it cost and how much do I need for a 12 foot boat??? Thanks for the help...

I used outdoard carpet glue from Lowes , I think it was 15 dollars for a big thing of it and Im not sure how much you would need for your Jon Boat.

Indoor outdoor carpet glue will get the job done. It's yellow or a cream color. Be sure to get a spreader trowel with the groved edges. I like the metal one's because they clean up nice with acetone.

These guys are leading you in the right direction.  I just re carpeted my boat two weeks ago using this same glue bought at Lowe's and it worked perfectly.  Here is a website for the carpet that I used.http://www.boatcarpetbuys.com/.  This is some very nice carpet for a good price.  Here are a couple of pictures of the boat,  it is a 18' Starcraft aluminum

Make it 4 for 4  ;D Used the stuff from Lowe's to carpet my entire 16' jon boat and still had some left over. Think I used the large tub, either quart or half-gallon sized. I'd have to look ofr sure. Also ditto on the aluminum notched trowel. Very easy cleanup and simple to use. Purchased mine at Lowe's same aisle as the adhesive.
