CONSERVATION:

Bob Wallace discussed his attendance at the Classic which included major topics as fizzing fish and fishing access to navigable waters. There was a recent issue with the Blades Marina in Delaware but members are reminded they are allowed access to ALL navigable waters in Delaware, but should exercise caution and respect when in marinas.

TOURNAMENTS:

The 2009 Federation Nation Open Team Schedule was announced as follows:

4/26      Upper Bay  - Anchor Marine
05/03           Potomac River  - Smallwood
06/20                     Nanticoke river - Phillips Landing
07/12           Upper Bay   - Turners Creek
08/02           Pocomoke river - Byrd State Park

The 1st of the series again will be the Link's Marine Open on the Upper Bay launching from Anchor Marine.

OLD BUSINESS:

The Plaques are available to be picked up and Dave will bring to the next meeting.

The DBFN renewed the Triton Alliance program which includes product discounts on mercury oil and props.

It was suggested props be sold for $200 if anyone is interested.

Dave reminded all clubs that the Casting Kids event per club is mandatory to remain as a club in good standing.

NEW BUSINESS:

A motion was made by Jay to reimburse Bob Wallace the balance of his airfare to the Classic, Bob Wallace declined to accept the motion.

Jay further discussed the 2010 Mid-Atlantic Divisional with Delaware as a host state, and this will require assistance from all clubs.

The Delaware Federal Identification Number, or FIN, was discussed. It is mandatory for all fishermen in Delaware to obtain a number from DNREC.

Just working off their affiliation package. I got my first order today at lunch. I have to say, they look and feel like the real deal. We will be busting them up tomorrow with these baits...
