While I was buying a few items on the net the other night I came accross this little spinnerbait kit which I just had to have  ;D  This is a spinnerbait that can be made without having to pour lead. Here's some pics of the stuff that comes with the kit (enough to make 10, 1/4oz spinnerbaits).

.....and here's the final result of my first attempt. As you may see, I actually found a use for a Banjo Minnow  lo lo

Good job BK...those look VERY nice...

You'll enjoy catching fish on the lures you have made youself....Just a little personal satisfaction if nothing else....I make my own jigs and like the way I can create exactly what I want...

Best of luck with those... ~c~

Thanks a lot fellas, it means a lot to hear responses like these from you experts. I guess this is just the begining, if I enjoy doing the rest of this kit I may start looking into pouring lead and doing more spinnerbaits and buzzbaits  ;D ;D

Steve, Looks pretty good!! I am impressed.  Bends all look very good.

1 thing though that sticks out at me.  That small piece of wire sticking out of the bullet weight looks like it could be a line hanger, can you cut that down some more, or perhaps cap it with some heat shrink or glue?

Sorry I don't want to come across as negative, just tryin to help.

Dug
In the end, it's not going to matter how many breaths you took, but how many moments took your breath away.

Good eyes Dug  :o

Like I said it is my first try and I expected some small faults like that. It's an easy fix thought, I can just slide the bullet weight up the line and cut it off.

I am actually grateful to hear honest criticism like that, that's what will help me improve  :-* :-*

Thanks Steve.   Does that Kit come with both gold and silver blades?  My favorite 1/4oz set up is with a silver willow in front and the small Colorado in back.

No unfortunately, only gold blades in this kit.
That's my favorite blade color combo also Dug  ;D  The site does sell seperate blades in different sizes and colors, so if I get more into this I can change things up a bit  :-*

Banjo Minnows make great vibrashock trailers too.  The side to side action works perfectly with the thin profile and vertical tail.  It wiggles and swims like a real shad.   ~shhh
If you build a ramp...I will come...
