While this is not a fishing tip it is a awesome money saving tip and once you save some money, well that means you can go buy some more fishing stuff  ;D

Here is how it works.

Shave in the normal way you always shave. However, after rinsing your expensive razor (I use a triple blade razor) under the water to remove the hair and cream blow dry the razor blade with a blow dryer for approx 60 seconds. This will completely dry your blade and make your expensive razor blade last you for months and months. Believe me. I have been doing this for years. I am not a shave every day kinda guy so I can get more time out of my blades then some of you,  but I can go almost 1 year on a single blade doing this. It is pretty amazing.

How it works? The reason our blades get dull and only last 3 shaves etc. is because the blade edge gets rusty because water was left on the blade. Once the edge begins to rust and corrode the sharpness is lost. By blow drying the blade you will eliminate rust from the equation and the blade will last for many, many, many more uses.

For those of you who are blow dryer challenged.  lo  You may dunk and swirl the razor in a glass of rubbing alcohol or some other alcohol based product for the same effect. The alcohol separates or whisks away the water and will evaporate quickly leaving your blade nice and dry.

Now go do this and remember this tip when you start saving some money on your razor blades ~c~
