help on new boat

I'm looking at buying a 1999 SS90 skeeter a 16 foot fiberglass with a 90 yamaha motor ,with the proper setup and prop what can I expect to get on top end speed, thanks.

I don't know on that boat, but if it helps you any I just sold a SkeeterSD80 with a 60 Evinrude, 15.3', aluminum prop and I got 35MPH GPS with a full load, 2 people and a hydrofoil to help with holeshot so I'm pretty sure you'll get 40 at least. Probably more.

In general most boats in that year class with a SS prop usually get into the upper 40's with a jack plate and some prop tweaking you might be able to hit the low 50's with a very light load.
