Ok don't get this thread locked by bashing candidates and smack talking one side to make your side look better.  This thread is for guys like myself who about halfway through had all they could stand.  Or guys that don't even care about the debate.  Keep it nice!

My comments-
I started watching the debate and thought again this debate really had no clear winner.  It just seemed like more of the same each.  Neither person stayed on track to answer their questions and both did more attacking then saying what they would actually do.  For me after tonight I have even less faith in either two of our choices.  Oh well at least ice cream still tastes yummy.

I am going to bed going fishing in the morning..  You boys and girls have a good night.  I will read up tomorrow when I get back.

I agree Blake, neither would give direct answers to a lot of the questions.

Neither wanted to say what would cause the nuclear button to be pushed

This may sound like a cop out but I think they both won.
Seriously.
I think Bidens knowledge is way superior and he showed it,
but Palin held her own, made some good points and overcame all of the recent disasters.
He won on knowledge and experience.
She won by disproving her critics.
It was a great debate, and good tv.
So many lures, so little time.

Always has to be that one.. clubber get out of here..  Shoo shoo..

A couple funny qoutes from Palin -  Did anyone catch when she called him Senator OBiden?  Or when she was talking about the iraq president and mr Talibani?

Personally I think we would be better off of these two where on the card together and got rid of the other two. Biden for pres and Palin for vp. A little contrast, but I think these two could work things out and we would have the better from both sides. I get the feeling from both that they are humans and not just robot politicians. That they have both been where most Americans are now and they have not forgot there roots. Basically that either could be the guy or girl down the street, a neighbor so to speak, that understands whats going on in the real world. I could picture either sitting down at the camp fire, having a beer and hanging out with the guys discussing whats really going on and whats really good for America.

Instead we have one guy living in fantasy land and another, whom I respect for his duty in the armed forces, but does not show much change from Bush.

I think it is hard to win a debate like last night. It is not set up for a win/lose situation. It basically opens us up to the candidate and whether we like their personality, etc.. I thought Biden delivered OK, but his information was incorrect. I also thought Palin did ok, but she was vague on some points. I don't think at this point in the race that we are expecting any new information from either one. People watched this debate for one reason and that was to see if there was a train wreck or a good fight.

It's getting to the point that people need to take a breath and do a little of their own research on what is being said if they are still undecided.

I can't stand the politicians they have on after the debates to tell us "who won". I guess we can't make our own mind up. They have their talking points made before the debate ever happens.

Good debate.  Enough said there.  I just wish the media would stop making such a huge deal out of every single word!  It's to the point that if one of the canidates sneezed, there would be a whole team of political "experts" trying to tell us what it meant and how it will affect the polls, election, economy, etc. etc.  I may not be the sharpest registered voter, but I do have a lot of common sense and can make up my own mind! ~rant ~rant ~rant

I watched the debate and felt that both acted very professionally. It was nice to hear from both without the filter on. I know who I'm voting for and that's all that matters to me. Hope everyone gets out there and votes in a month. (for my side)  lo
Good luck today blake.

Wow!....I can't believe that someone else was thinking the same thing I was!

My opinions on politics are best left unsaid most of the time, but this struck me big time while watching the debate.  Biden has the diplomatic edge and Palin seems to be a fireball who is willing to go to work to fix things.  As far as the other two I think ex301p has summed them up very nicely.

Inexperience, just like when Senator Obama's teleprompter goes out, it is ummmm, yeah, silence, ummmm.  Polls, please, the only thing polls are is more media driven hype, one poll from CNN says Biden won, the other poll from Fox News says Palin won, is that the problem, people need polls to make up their minds, I value my independent thought process and the day a poll influences me is the day I act like an ostrich and bury my head in the dirt.
