in the throes of a serious fixation with the Horny Toad, I took advantage of the only time I had on Saturday to go fishing...got on the water at 1:30PM...off at 5:00PM

Focussed on the HT...tossing it on/around all visibile vegetation.  Not much going on...finally thought to try a ribbon/strip of moss that covers a small ridge (2 foot depth) that runs about 200 yards and separates two 'troughs' about 8-10 feet deep.  This strip of moss is only about 5-10 feet across before the edges fall into 8 feet plus depths.

worked the entire length for 5 fish...4 of which were 16-17 inches long...the key was to find a spot where the moss was close to/around some timber...the fish were relatively tentative...I would have sworn the hits were from 10-12 inchers...but they all ended up being pretty nice fish....
