Before tossing all that line, that you take off your reels, into the trash - use a scissors and chops it up.  Birds and animals less likely to become entangled and living their lives in pain.
My wish, for you, is that this life becomes all that you want it to,
Your dreams stay big, your worries stay small.

A simple solution to a very serious issue to all wildlife. Thanks for sharing Swede.

While bank fishing in Korea (and back in the UK), I see way too much line laying around the banks, but I always take my waste line home and dispose of it at home, but I have never thought to cut it up first, but will from now on  :-* :-*

The other day when I got back to the boat dock I had braided line wrapped up in my prop from someone tossing it into the lake. ~rant

A lot of the boat ramps I have fished at have recycle tubes set up for throwing away old line.  My question is can you co-mingle mono, with braid and fluoro?

I read somewhere that the recycled line is not used (reused) to make new line, but instead is used to make line spools, and tackle trays.  I would imagine the impurities prohibit the re-manufacture of any kind of line.

usually put my used plastics and line in the water/gatorade bottle at the end of the day as well.

On the topic, I've also gotten into the habit of taking my trolling motor prop off weekly to inspect for line...lots of shoreline anglers lose lots of line in the weeds around here...

I usually stuff it into plastic bottles as has been said. But i just toss it into our regular recycle bin. I haven't seen any special line recycling places...i guess that hasn't made it's way to back-woods Ohio yet. lo
