Met billkay today and hoped to put him on some fish...walked down to my favorite slop hole, bill got several rises but no takers...I cast a Texas-rigged tube in the thickest stuff and caught a hefty 13 incher, then shortly after that a fiesty 10 incher.

bill had to leave, so I decided to try the goose pond, tied on a 5" grey/silver Kinami worm, with a 3/0 red Gamakatsu deep bend hook and a 1/8 oz. bullet sinker...first cast on the dead fall caught a 15 incher, 5 minutes later another 13 incher and 20 minutes later rounded off the day with another 14 incher.

Back started to hurt, and I was actually starting to feel sorry for everyone down there that could see me catching fish and couldn't figure it out for themselves. Once young man went to his truck and came back with a chair and asked if I wanted to sit a spell...he could tell my back was hurting...he asked where he could learn to catch fish like me and of course I gave him the web addy for here! Set him up with one of my Kinami worms just before I left...hope he catches one for all the kindness he exhibited today.
