I always wanted to make my own lure but never thought it was possible. But now i came across this site and saw how easily possible it is. I was looking around several listed places and saw some things that i liked.http://www.del-mart.com/shop/product.php?productid=16133&cat=254&page=1 like this. Is it a good beginner kit? I will also get gralic scent but not going to put it on the 1st batch cuz the 1st batch will be junk i bet.

It is a great kit. For a beginner it will be perfect.

all of my materials come from delmart or lure craft.  Del has alot of good stuff and April is good to deal with.

Read alot on his site and on Tackleunderground on beginner pouring before even pouring the first worm.  I garantee you that you will be pouring very good quality worms right off the bat if you put their suggestions to work.  I did.

Yea, Ive been saving soo much stuff to my favorties list. I have like 3 different sites for reference

Good info. I order from Lurecraft myself, and they are close to me. I think Kim does an excellent job with customer service. I have used their plastic for 6-7yrs and never had a problem. They also offer aluminum molds now.

which of the 2, delmart or lurecraft do you guys think has a better starter kit? And i saw how expensive delmarts molds were, and another site had molds for 10 buks each?

the molds are different material.  Del only has aluminum molds.  Lure craft has silicone and aluminum.

Aluminum are by far the best.  Personally I'd buy the AL mold kit.  If you ever decide to sell the mold you can get almost all the $ back out of an Al mold.  It will last forever too.

Go with Del-Marts, you won't be disappointed. I'd recommend that you get a simple mold to begin with (less appendages). Once you figure out the speed and temperatures for pouring best, then move up to the more difficult molds.

Ok, i think this is my last question. What is the difference between a plastic mold and an aluminum? Are the plastic molds a 1 time use thing?

BaSsEr212

oo, and whats an AL mold kit? can u give me a link? Thank You

The biggest difference is that over time aluminum will not warp. You can use the plastic ones for numerous pours. However, they will eventually warp.
