Always wondered if it was safe to connect both "banks" of my on-board battery charger to one battery. Anyone ever tried this and does it work? I really only have to charge my trolling motor battery as my crank battery takes maybe an hour or so to recharge after a full day of fishing. Always wondered if it would make it charge any faster anyways.

Not a wise move. If you need a faster charge get a charger that puts out more amps but remember, a deep cycle battery will hold a better charge and last longer if trickle charged. I wouldn't go over 10 amps. Just my .02

I'm no expert but i think it can be done. Just all the amps go to that one battery. Why not leave it on your cranking battery? It will not harm it, at least you will know that you will always have a strong crank battery.
