Hi,

Is the leader material stronger and more abrasion resistant than main line flouro?

I have 20 lb Seaguar invizX - i am thinking of purchasing some leader material....

Thanks in Advance.

Usually, its also harder to work with. The intention of leader material is to use just a few feet at a time, so memory and stiffness is at its worst, and tying knots can be a bear.

Funny thing is that I was using Vanish and other Fluorocarbon lines as leader material instead. They are easier to tie, and more flexible, with adequate bite protection.

Keep in mind, that I usually used 40 to 100 lb floro as leader material.
