ANY ONE KNOW OF A TOURNAMENT WHERE YOU DON'T NEED A BOAT OR YOU CAN RENT ONE OR THEY SUPPLY ONE????

Jeff I  would say look for American Bass Anglers Trail close to your.  Boaters and nonboaters get equall time to fish water.  www.americanbassanglers.com

Jeff the ABA will let you fish as a nonboater as long as you have a signature from your legal guardian.  Do not let your age get in the way the fish can't tell how old you are.   I also think that the BASS Federation Tourney have the same rule.  Thier are seval Indaim angles here that might be able to help so keep checking back.

thanks BUT for young kids say 14??

The best thing to do it put up a flyer in your local bait shops. You will be surprised at the guy that will fish with you. Just tell them in the flyer how you behave when you are out fishing, and what you are like. there are times guys are looking for some one to fish with it might be only here and there tell they get to know you. I have a young guy that fished CATT with us and he was passed around for two summers then one guy now fishes with him all the time.

That is a great idea Kevin but I would use a little caution with that, you never know who might take you up on that offer. But someone that would and is honestly wanting to help wouldn't be offended if you were cautious and asked a few questions ~c~

I fished a Tournament a couple weeks back as a Non-Boater in a group called MIBA.  It was a blast.  Even as a non-boater.  I really enjoyed myself and wish that my schedule allowed me to fish with the MIBA guys more often.

I wrote an article about the experience... if you'd like to read it.

Gander Mountain, although not one of my favorite stores has a list of bass clubs and similar clubs that use their facility to hold their meetings, you might look at that as an additional avenue also.
