Eagle IntelliMap 480 question about the unit

My gps 480 does not display the whole lake. I can run up a creek and it does not show it on the screen it looks like I am running out of the lake. I bought the navionics chip and it does not show anything different at all ... Any suggestions would be helpful.

Some of the smaller creeks don't show on mine either. Have you tried installing the updates from the Eagle site?

The main Lake points are pretty good, but there is no reference at what pool level they set the depths at, I am assuming full pool. I have been in creeks that were 40ft deep and the unit says I am on dry land.

Excactly    it just seems it is not working right at all.

I have not done any updates at all yet I am trying to get hold of eagle but no resonse yet very very frustrating.

If it's the built in map nobody will be able to help cause it is what it is. They are very very basic outlines of the lakes. Now with Navionics, on some of there HD lakes when they surveyed them, they might not have been able to get into some of the pockets due to water level, area might have been stumpy, etc. so they survey what they can. I have lowrance units and even on the map create map it show that i'm on land sometimes. It does suck but there is nothing that can be done.
