Hey guys, just wondering something about this spinnerbait I toyed with. I have a couple of those boo-yah pond magic spinners. Now I like the way they look, and there great for the lakes up here in jersey, but I feel like the blades are a little to small. I put on a rather large willow from an old spinner, and im wondering if you think this will work. Is the blades to big? is it to close to the hook?

I would think it would work fine.  You can always bend the wire away from the hook so the blade isn't so close if it is hitting.  it might mess up on hook sets though.  having that big of a blade that far back and that close to the hook would make me wonder.

The primary problem with large blades on small spinnerbaits is balance. They tend to turn on their sides. If it rides true, then it's fine, if not, you'll need to go smaller until it does.  ;)

I have to agree with the other comments, but how about adding a trailer hook and open the wire a little....then it might just work.

Let us know how it works.

Looks good Matt... I created a spinner somewhat like you...I recommend painting a red dot in the center of the yellow blade (one side only)..adds a little fire to the pit... ~cf
