I also want to say thanks...All us Air Force boys and girls will definitely enjoy this. Thanks again

Basseye

You know whats so cool about it?  The best things about the Air Force (Millitary) and Bass fishing are the people you meet. It would be hard for me to go to a Base or lake and not know someone.

It's places like this that allow that to happen.

Enjoy

You bring up a very quality point. and with that said I seen where you all are headed to the DOD tournament. The Hub City Bassmasters are from the Eglin area and fish Eufalla often they could probably help you out with some good intel. I know they would be excited to meet fellow UB members along with exchange war stories.

Thanks for the good info Mike. You would be suprised how many military bass clubs there are??

Mike Cork

I am also in the A.F. and Just about every base I know of (state side at least) has some sort of bass club. Some of them are very large as well.

It would be neat to be able to get to the tournament and  meet everyone from the board but I will be at the trailing end of a move and probably won't be able to make it. Biloxi Ms. won't be that far of a drive, definately an over nighter and I imagine lodging will be difficult to come by at the last minute.

We already have 3 cabins reserved and so far there are 16 of us going from Offutt. I hope someday they make the tournament a little closer to us. Texas or louisiana would be nice... So your active duty Mike?? which base?  I`m actually retired AF but I work at the base as a civilian now in Outdoor Recreation. We have a great intramural bass program. We usually have anywhere from 40-60 fisherman participate every year.

Mike Cork

I am currently stationed at Barksdale Pro Super for for b-52's but I am headed to Keesler in March to be a first shirt. Barksdale would have an awesome bass fishing program going if it would get together, There are several little organizations out there and they stay split up.

One of our guys just got stationed there in October. SMsgt McClard. He`s on the global and he is a super nice guy. In fact he`s going to the AF tourny with us. Sorry about you becoming a first shirt, LOL that will cut into your fishing time, hahahaha

Basseye

Hey Ripinlips,

You workin today?

Mike,

I was waiting for Loran to come by the board and hook you guys up. If you get a chance, look him up on the global and drop him a line. He really is a good guy,(even if he does own a Stratus!!) and I'm not sure what kind of fishing contacts he's made there yet.

If nothing else, point him in the rite direction,

yea Basseye, I`m at work today   Lornes been at barksdale since october. he says he`s been mostly fishing Rayburn and toledo bend

Mike Cork

He's been missing out on some good fishing heading that far south, but that is where the big money tournaments are held. There is a world of great fishing here with in 30 minutes of base, we have 6 great lakes to include the Red River. I will get ahold of him next week.

Hey guys...I met Loran last weekend. His wife works with mine at the Credit Bureau & we all met for dinner last Saturday night. I gave him one of the U/B fliers & told him to check us out. Ya'll may have to push him this direction also at the tourney you are going to.

He has been concentrating heavily on Toledo Bend, prefishing for a BFL tournament in April. He also expressed interest in fishing with our club here if we can find him a partner.

Skipper (ripnlips)

Cool, we will push him here, don`t ya worry, LOL.....I`m glad you got to meet him, he is one heck of a nice guy and cant wiat to drink a beer with him when we get to Alabama

bassadict69

You guys have any luck pushing him over to UltimateBass.com? I know I haven't seen him on here yet.

Skipper (ripnlips)

I keep telling Lorne to get on here but I guess he`s to busy enjoying that louisiana fishing
