jig heads

I have been making my own skirts and just picking up a few jigheads that i like here and there.  Does anyone pour or know someone who has bulk pricing on their jigheads?  I mean not like stamina or netcraft where i am buying a 100 and still paying a dollar a piece!

if i were you and had the time, i would get a custom mold, buy the hooks, about 10 cents a piece or cheaper, then go to your local tire shop and pick up the used wheel weights.  get a good lead melting pot (about 40-100$) and start pouring yourself.  i just got this setup and it has been working great for me.  you are right, it sure beats paying 1.00 a head when you lose 8-10 of them on any given tournament day.

i have actually thought about that but, i really like the line tie to be recessed in the head of the jig, and for it to be vertical.  I have yet to see a mold like that and i probably would not be good enough to pour them.

its extremely easy to pour your own heads.  i never poured before and i starting 2 weeks ago, i poured 100 heads the last two nights.....pretty easy man.  go to www.del-mart.com, he does custom molds and there are always some for sale there in the used area.

All you have to do is find the mold and hooks.  Its easy.  Even I can do it.  All you have to do is dump hot lead in the mold and out comes a jighead.  Thats as difficult as it gets. very very simple.

To answer your question..over at BBC.com swap & sale there are a few guys that sell jig heads there ..that is where I buy mine.
