Protect yourself.  here is an age old home recipe No guarantees but it works for some with success.

A word of warning: Lyme Disease is no fun. Protect yourself. Learn about it.

A good homemade recipe tick repellent for on your clothes and your pets follows (from the USDA forest service):
2 cups white vinegar
1 cup Avon skin so soft bath oil
1 cup water
1 tablespoon eucalyptus oil.
Put this mixture in an old spray bottle.

In the end, it's not going to matter how many breaths you took, but how many moments took your breath away.

Thanks for the tip. I go camping all the time so I've had my fair share of the little "bass turds" ;)
