My buddy and I went out to Cleco today.  We ended up with 2 nice slot fish and five under the slot.  Won't talk about the handful I missed.  All caught on Lizards and trick worms.  Fished the hot water side.  No luck on the cold water side today.  If you plan on going out tomorrow, might want to go somewhere else.  The Cleco company is going to have their tournament there tomorrow.  Lots of boats out there today pre-fishing.  We talk to some of them and they said about 100 boats tomorrow.  That place is going to be packed.  Glad I went today.  When we left water temp was around 68 to 70 on hot water side, low 60's on cold water.

Wow 100 boats on that lake?  Insane....

Seems this lake is only producing smaller fish?  My brother-in-law went earlier this year and finished the day with 9 around 12 inches.  Anyone catch fish 18 inches or bigger in this lake?

That's what I said, 100 boats,,,he probably meant 100 people.  There are some big bass in there and have been caught recently.  They say it used to have a bunch of nice fish when all the grass was there.  That was before my time down here.  It's time for me to get out of the Cleco rut and fish other places.
