My brother and me borrowed our Dad's boat and tried to fish Indian Creek today.  Typical luck for me, I caught one, lost one, and broke off on one.  My brother caught a jackfish.  We didn't get there until Noon and it was cloudy and calm.  An hour later the winds hit about 30 and the torrential rains set in.  About an hour after that the trolling motor battery went dead.  Second time in a week that has happened on one of my trips in two different boats.  I am starting to believe I have the ability to drain the power out of a battery just by merely fishing on the back deck.  Needless to say we left pretty early about 3:15 pm.  I saw lots on beds, but no fish on them, and did not see many cruisers like you usually do this time of year there.  They must still be backed off from the cold front last week.  Well I guess a bad day fishing is better than setting in the dang house trying to find something to watch on TV.
