Just to give everyone a heads up, we're going to be closing down the public ramps here in town(Shreveport/Bossier)...tomorrow morning. The river stage forecast is for a 3 foot rise by Sunday, which means lots of debris and the docks and handrails will be completely submerged (causing an immediate hazzard for those attempting to launch into the swift current).  As alternate launching sites, we would suggest any of the private launches or Bishop Point (which are all located in oxbows).  Please be careful out there and be aware that there will be excessive debris, some submerged, in the river until it crests.  Also, with recent snow accumulations on the TX/OK border these closures may extend well into the month of March and possibly beyond...I will keep everyone posted.
