Cross Lake Bass Fishing Report - 02/13/08

Fished today from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. with Mike.  Man it was cold...especially the boat rides.  Water temps dropped a few degrees with the rain on Tuesday and the cold night...ranged from 51 to 54.  Water color was a bit stained from the rain.  Did a lot of flipping to trees in the west end and chunking rattletraps.  Managed to put 7 bass in the boat (and 2 white bass)...one over and the rest were slots and unders.  Fish were caught on watermelon sweet beavers and crawfish traps.

Quite a few sac-a-lait fishermen on the lake.

Yeah...we caught a couple of nice cypress trees.  Mostly on rattletraps. 

Depends on which trees you are talking about.

Fished them once...one under.  Not producing yet.

Seen you out there when you ran in.  I played with my jack plate some and then fished some new areas.  Managed 5 fish, 3 overs and 2 unders.  All of them came on a jig and craw worm pitching trees.  Threw a spinnerbait for about 20 minutes and missed a very nich fish, I put it away after that, don't want to educate them early....lol
