Black Bayou-I mainly fish at night and throw a black spinnerbait

Cross-changes from day to day it seems.  According to some of the other posts, they seem to be hitting sweet beavers and crawfish colored rattle traps.  They didn't want mine this past Sunday though.

Welcome to UltimateBass.com LouisianaDawg.  I haven't been on Black Bayou Benton since December.  Recent reports are hit and miss.  I would suggest fishing docks extremely slow with a black/blue jig or something like a Sweet Beaver or Ugly Otter in watermelon or pumpkin.  Traps might also work and maybe a spinnerbait but not sure.  For Cross, either fish the trees in the west end "very" slow with a sweet beaver or stay on the trolling motor and throw a crawfish colored trap.

Good luck.  Don't forget to report back in with your fishing report.

If you are close enough to hit Black make sure to check out Cypress Lake  those two lakes fish different and cypress can have a much better spinnerbait/trap bit then black more then not.  Black IMO is more of a slow lake but has big fish, but you have to work through the slot.

Welcome to Ultimatebass.com and please post your reports when you can, even a bad day on the water can help someone figure out what not to try when they get a chance to wet a line.
