This past year I found a new way to fish a Super Fluke. I use this technique to search for the bass when they are in the hydrilla. But I guess it could be used anywhere.

Supplies needed:
Super Fluke
Large barrel swivel
Regular offset, round bend worm hook 4/0 or 5/0
18 to 24 inch leader.

Take the large swivel and tie the leader on then tie the main line to the swivel and tie the hook to the other end of the leader.
Texas rig the Fluke. But make sure the hook is on the back side of the Fluke not on the side with the groove.

If fish this rig in a Med X-fast rod.

Now all you have to do is cast it out and slowly reel it in. It should have a slight side to side action but it shouldn't be spinning. If you use a EWG hook it will spin. You must use a Regular Offset Worm hook. The large swivel is the weight that keeps the Fluke just under the water.

I have used this technique myself and it is deadly in the spring when the bass are cruising the flats :-*

Flukemaster I've been swimming flukes for years. The differance is I use a belly weighted hook, ( Mustad Neddle Lock 91763) Discontinued hook but I won't run out of them for a few years I bought heavy when the price dropped to .99 cents a pack. The key is moving the weight as far back to the hook bend as you can get it, this gives the Fluke a nice side to side action on a steady retreive.

Mustad replaced this hook with a powerlock plus hook #91768 it's a wide gap hook with a plastic keeper and a sliding weight on the hook shank this is also the hook to use on the new Paddle tail tube swimbaits like The BassTrix.

Experiment with this hook and you'll find you can do a sub surface walk the dog with a fluke that's killer and easy to do and you won't need the swivel either.  Just one more suggestion for ya to try if ya like swimmin a Fluke.

I've been fishing similarly to that for a while although I use an EWG offset hook.  I'm more likely to try out the weight hook idea for a change.

Here's another good tip for fishing fluke's slide a small rattle down near the tail right behind the hook ....with the tail flapping the rattle's a knocking ..........
