For the first several months that I used my Lowrance 520c's (one at the bow and one near the console sharing a single antenna) they would always show the lake I was on and my current location when the GPS found my position.  The last few times, even after it has indicated that it has found my position, the screen will show the last lake I was on and not my current location.  I end up having to move the cursor to my current location which is a real pain.

Any ideas on how to change this so it will always show my current location?

Thanks in advance for all of your help.

Does you cursor show up automatically when you turn on your unit?

I'm not sure.  Prior to my last few outings, the GPS screen would show the lake I was on with the black arrow indicating my current position.

The problem started after I went in to the menus and deleted all of my trails prior to launching one day.  I had done this several times before without any problems.

Try hitting the exit button once.  See if that works.  If not then do you have a Navionics chip or anything in it?  You may have go hit Menu, then map data, and select the correct region.  If you still have trouble go to Basszone.com and post the question to a lady named LINDAC.  She works for Lowrance in Oklahoma and she answers questions on that board frequently.

There is a way to reset it to factory settings too. Might try that first. The info is in the owners manual (which can also be downloaded from Lowrance).

Go to the gps set up menu and make sure the box  show current position is checked.

that happened to me with the hot map in it. So I no longer use that $150 chip. Its a 2007 Navionics HotMaps , Premium Lake Maps Eastern Region. And its for sale.
