went to visit my girfriends parents!!!!

i went to visit my gf's parents in Nebraska last week......i thought it was gunna be weird and awkward like it always is the first time u meet them, but not at all mom was as sweet as sweet could be and her dad was an avid fisherman and urged me not to give in to his daughters hissy fits about my fishing habbit!!! oh yeah and there was a cabellas and a bps within 10 miles of thier house in either direction!!! needless to say me and her dad had plenty of bonding time strolling through bps discussing all of our tips and tricks!!!

i had a similar experience with a ex gf not to long ago....i went to watch her brother crew in Philly and stayed in a hotel with her family i was a little bit nervous about it because they were letting me and her share a room and everything......but i guess he decided that i was ok when we were talking in the lobby waiting for the women to come down to go to dinner and he puts his arm around me and says "ya know thats my only little girl, shes my everything and if you have any thoughts of hurting her you just remember that (he paused and looked around then whispered) im not afraid to go back to prison." i looked him strait in the eye and said "sir you only go back if you get caught." he took me strait to the bar and bought me a shot. and said if you can think of something clever and whitty like that i guess you are ok with me.......but this girl lived 4 hours away so it didnt work out and im still waiting on her dad showing up at my door......

and i miss her more now that the fishing season is coming up cause she lived right on one of the fingerlakes and her dad said that i could take his bassboat out whenever...(he put me on the wheel on a different visit and said i handled it better than he did and if he was ever in a tourney i would be in the front for us) but now i dont know how that is going to work without the link that brought me and him together

the only thing better would be if good ole Dad was sitting on a few hundred acres of prime Nebraska hunting land he let other avid fishermen use...LoL

That's great Got 'em. Wish my in laws were big fishermen. My in laws are the ones out in the Bay laying trot lines for crabs we have to weave around during tournaments.

Actually real good folks up here if you can keep them of the subject of Nebraska football...

But figure you can hold your own, being from Texas and all...

yeah we know a thing or two about football down here lol......thanks guys i new she was a keeper when she said "i dont care u can go fishing whenever u want, ill just go with u and work on my tan"......... now i got in the boat all i gotta do is get a rod in her hands!!!!

My daughter (now 22) had a boy friend once who spent a few years in the Marines, hunted & fished, we got along real well. She dumped him soon as I said I liked him! Go Figure!

Of course another boy never came back after I told him I knew various ways to kill a man with my bare hands.

I can't image why he didn't come back!
