I am looking at putting a spray in bed liner in my truck. I was wondering what brand should I go with. The ones I have looked at are Line X and Rhino liner. Any body have any opinions. Thanks

Swede

I've got a Rhino Liner - has held up well during the two or so years I've had it.  If and when the liner starts to fade - there are products in the marketplace that you can apply to bring them back to life.  Mine is a few years away from that - but that option is available when the time comes.  Just did that with our truck at work and the liner looks brand new.

I have the rhino. I've had it for 6 years and love it.

I been wonderin' the same thing.  This spring my son and I are going to do his truck bed.  If you guys say it, I believe it.  Rhino it is.

I've had Rhino in my Ranger bed for 6 years now and it still looks good and has held up better than I ever thought it would.  It will be in my next truck too.

Here's the way I look at it.  If you carry stuff in the bed that you don't want sliding around, but it's not lumber or something like that, go Rhino liner.  If you need more protection from lumber, sharp edges, etc., Line-X is the way to go.  I've had both and I'll probably go with the Rhino on this truck.

Line-X seems to be tougher from the standpoint of not ripping or tearing as easily, but it has a slicker surface that can allow things to slide around.

Rhino is stickier and softer, but not as resistant to scrapes and cuts.

Both will fade, but Bassboatsaver is great for that.

I got a quote for $390 for rhino linings. That was from a local ziebart shop.  That is the bed, tailgate and under the rails. Does that sound reasonable?

Thats sounds about right.  I've usually heard that it will cost around $400.  I opted for a good old heavy rubber mat.  $50, done.

Not sure, but I thought I saw a discount coupon on Rhino's web site at one point.  And I think there was a coupon on the banner that was flying here on UB, wasn't there?

I've had both, and I prefer the Line-X hands down. The Rhino was better for skid control, but it cut easy, provided very little for dent protection from impacts, and bubbled and peeled up. I've got Line-X in my Tundra, and my dad has it in 2 of his trucks. It doesn't cut hardly at all. The only issue I have with mine is a small chip that broke off of the edge of the top rail where I hit it with something.

A friend of mine sprays bedliners.  If your Rhino bubbled and peeled, it wasn't a fault of the liner material, it was poor truck bed preparation by the sprayer.

I guess the best thing to do is seriously consider what you're going to be hauling in your truck bed more often.  If you're goign to be throwing things in that will potentially damage the bed, then consider the tougher Line-X, but if most of the things are going to be lighter, less damaging but more likely to slide around, then go for the Rhino.

Yeah, I think most of the problem was with the prep. It was a factory installed liner from Nissan. A lot of the early Titans had the same problem. I still prefer the Line-X better, but it is really 6 one way, 1/2 dozen the other. Go look at both, and go with what you are most comfortable with, and with the dealer/installer you are most confidant in.
