The Eagle 502c is a great small unit that can be foun for around $450 or so.  The internal gps needs some help, I this unit in my small boat (which I fish out of the most) and it works great, but I did install fishing hot spots in the unit and have found it to work Great!

I've been looking at the Humminbird 595c. Looks like a decent unit. $500 plus a $50 rebate from humminbird supposedly (basspro advertises that). It is compatible with Navionics & has a color display. Anyone use one? Any other reccomendations? I am in the market as well. a 797SI would be deluxe, but a little pricey for my blood.
