If flipping lizards to trees is the ticket, maybe going to a heaver weight or a lighter weight changing the fall rate will get you more or better quality bites.

If the bite is on wind blown banks and everyone is using a spinnerbait, try a vibrashock!

If it is hot and sunny and everyone is trying to hit the darkest parts of docks maybe working a tree line in current would be better.

Point is be different, try new things.

All of the Yadkin river lakes are "community" holes. When fish get pressured from other boaters then I go to finnese type baits and fish a little deeper. Seems like the fish move out from all the other baits that are presented to them.
The shakey head is my favorite.

I'll sometimes use colors that would make most fishermen cringe in disbelief and work lures in eratic methods never intended by the maker. Ever wonder why on the toughest day of fishing that a novice to the sport can outfish a veteran  :-\  I think its in the eratic way they reel, move there pole around and generally work a lure differently from how they are "suppose to;)

i mainly fish a lake that gets pounded every year and there is just a lot of boat traffic......im happy im up here on the east coast i can throw vibraspins with pretty good success but i also agree with karl.....last time i went out last year with my old baseball coach who fishes all the time and i fish more than he does.....and then we brought out another one of my friends who caught just as many fish if not more than we did because he dosent fish all that much and was more erratic with his retrieves......
"the vibrashock?.....its like crack for fish"

Thanks for the perspective.  I have a lake that I fish regularly here that is definetly pounded.  I think I may switch things up next time I go there.

Most of the waters in Colorado get alot of fishing pressure. Best thing to do is mix it up. Say some peeps are throwing cranks...try a spinnerbait...some are flipping jigs...flip a tube...and so on. Sometimes it takes a different bait to light up the day for you.
