Spoke with Trolling Motor Doc today.  It might not be the switch, he did say that MG put out some models that had faulty soldering in the lower end and it could be that, but without a positive Dx (i.e. hands on) it is best educated guess.  Only problem I don't have time to take it all the way to Lakewood, the TM repair in Atascadero does not do MG.  I can't remeber if I registered it or not and can't even remember where I bought it from.  Well  .  Feel like playing with the lower end?   The TM silly.
