Could I get some of you to post how you have all the settings on your color units set up? No matter what I try, I cannot get the nice perfect arches like I see on other units from people who have posted up pics. I have tried lots of different settings with sensitivity, chart speed, ping speed, etc. I have also tried adjusting the transducer on the back of the boat. I can manage to get one side of the arch but never both!

Also, what colorline settings do you use? If anyone has some screenshots of yours you have recorded, it would be cool to post them up also for us to see.

One side of the arch usually means the transducer isn't pointing straight down

I have tried adjusting it to where it was level, pointing more upwards, more downwards & everywhere in between.

a couple of things to try:

Lowrance has a great website where you can download a software package that will allow you to (if you have a recording unit) record what you're seeing and play it back on the PC...while there, you can play with settings to figure out how you might want to set it up on the boat.

Or, call the Lowrance Tech Services folks...they're outstanding and should be able to get you going very quickly...an 800 number should be available on their website...

But I'm in agreement:  the arch only showing 'half' indicates something is up with the transducer alignment/orientation...is it level both in all orientations (front/back, left/right)?  How tight are the nuts/rubber washers on the bracket? (assuming it's not an internally mounted transducer?...rather hanging off the stern?

I've notice that the settings on the downloaded viewer and setting on the unit differ. Like the sensetivity, on the unit it's around 60 and the computer program is around 85. Same goes for the colorline. As far as settings, i didn't do much from where it's default is set. I get good readings. There are time when i get half archs and later on, full archs. I believe that the fish have to pass almost perfect down the middle of the "tranducer cone" to get that "arch". And possible, there are more settings, the ducer could be off center by a frogs hair, etc. but I don't think it will be perfect like the demo's shows.
