Ok I'm going to vent alittle bit about the death penalty that the dang death roll inmates are crying about being to painful for them and their consuition (SP)  being broken what rights do  they have in my opinion they shouldn't have any how about he person or persons they killed what rights did they give that person(s) what it to painful for them to die I say give them the needle and move on take the rights of every death roll inmate or all of the prisoners if they want rights don't do the crime. Sorry just don't seam right for them to cry about their rights being violated after they took the rights of the person they killed or robbed

I have a solution for those that think the death penalty is cruel. Just execute the murderer by the same means he/she used to murder.  If they shot someone, shoot them, if they poisoned someone, posion them.  This way the murderer choses his form of punishment.

The way I see it, if you take another persons life, you have no rights.

like my grandpa always said, a bullet only costs 30 cents

IT'S AS SIMPLE AS THIS:  IF IT'S GOOD ENOUGH FOR THEIR VICTIM'S, THEN IT'S GOOD ENOUGH FOR THEM.

Agreed - In australia we dont have the death sentace... we do have extremely over crowded jails from people who should be given the death sentance though... Port Arthur Massacre (tasmania) shooter Martin Bryant for example - guy killed approx 35 people having a day out with there families. Recieves 35 life sentances. Now sits in his cell and aust tax payers pay to keep him fed and alive... and theres 35 familys who have a gaping whole in there lives...and theres others like him.. stupid political system...

Just think, the costs to keep 5 of them alive for 15 years, could buy a bunch of school books for an entire school of Kids.

Does anyone remember this Illinois IDIOT - Governor Ryan?  Shame he was a Republican.. Black eye on the IL Rep. Party...He was up for a Nobel Peace Prize!  Now he is up for 6.5 years in Federal Prison for being the typical politician..

"Gov. George Ryan is expected to make a major announcement about the death penalty Friday, but it is not clear whether that announcement will include his decision on commuting the sentences of every man and woman on death row. Ryan is scheduled to speak at DePaul University, Chicago. The governor, who leaves office Monday, is contemplating reducing the sentences of more than 150 people."

Meanwhile, the website that was set up to support Gov. Ryan's nomination for the Nobel Prize has registered over 1,100 visitors since Dec. 24.
