I recently purchased a lowrance 480M. The head unit only. I have been purchasing the missing pieces to the puzzle one by one. I have the unit, a 12ft extension cable, the lgc2000 antenna, and since lowrance and everyone else in the world did not have the expansion kit i had to buy the T connector off of ebay at like double the price. The one thing that i believe i am missing is the Terminator. There are two different types, 60 ohm and 120 ohm. Which one do i need? I noticed that 120 comes with the expansion kit so im assuming that one. I tried powering up the unit without the terminator and it ended up saying GPS not responding, or something like that, im assuming that this would be due to not having the terminator in place? If i want to check for voltage on what pins do i place my positive and negative leads on my voltmeter? thanks!

If all you are useing is the lgc2000 antenna and lowrance 480M use one 60 ohm Terminator. When you put something else on the network use two 120 ohm Terminator (one on each end of the network).
