I have been trying to learn the tricks for Walleyes on lake Hefner.  Well on the forth of July I got on fish over 18'' I had three.  Called my woman to meet me at the lake after she got off work.  7:30 she shows up and brings more crawlers.  I catch two more keepers and BAM!!! she hauls in a 6lb 9oz 26 " monster(For lake Hefner).  I caught two nice ones over 4lbs on Sat 7/7/7.  Saturday there was no wind and it was hot and my son and I caught all of the fish Mid day.

I personally don't do a lot of walleye fishing. I have been a few times with a friend that has had good luck with trolling and throwing crank baits along the edges of flats and grass beds. He is also big on throwing the big curly tail grubs in white, orange and chartruse. The lakes  we've fished are Fort Cobb, Ellsworth and Lawtonka. Fort Cobb seemed to have the bigger fish. Wiggle warts was one of the crank baits he swore by. Theres a guide service out of Lawton called Curts guide service. I've got a friend that used him and was really happy with him. You might be able to hit him up like your interested in a trip and ask how you'd be fishing for them and maybe get some usefull info. He fish's mostly at Fort Cobb.

What spots on Hefner do you guys catch these walleyes? (or any other fish at that) Im not one of the lucky ones to own a boat yet so i cant troll around. I hear that there are crappies by the boat docks? Can anyone confirm this? The fishing reports for this lake sounds really nice but i havent yet caught anything lately according to the reports.

Caught a limit two day ago, I'm in a boat so I have an advantage,  My woman caught a 5lb 10 0z largemouth last night on the walley rig, and had two nice keeper wallys, one was over 5 lbs.

Get some, have you checked your personal messages?  Get me some contact info via personal message and I'll hook you up with a trip on the lake.  You must be over 18 and male, my woman does'nt allow me to take women out alone.
