Respooling and Backlash help

   When I respool my baitcaster. I take off about 1/2 the line. Then instead of tying the two lines together I take a piece of electrical tape and tape them down. Then i just spool up and there is no high spot in the spool. 


   The tape also helps keep the depth of a backlash to a minnimum.
