Stan when you had your tracker, did you ever have to clean out the tank.  Since I have to mix the oil and gas, but can't put the oil in until I know how much gas is in there I thought it would sit at the bottom being heavier than the gas.  Also the filter I have for my engine is it just a water seperator or fuel filter as well.  I can't seem to find any other filter to keep any sludge out of the motor.  You think it gets mixed enough while traveling down the road to keep it from sludging up?

Never had to clean the tank out.  My boat was oil injected so I didn't have to worry about mixing the gas.  I have a friend who's Skeeter wasn't oil injected and he had to mix his gas.  What he did was, he would fill the tank until the pump stopped, see how much gas he had put in, add enough oil to make it the proper mix then he would top off the tank to push the residual oil in the fill tube down into the tank.  And the answer to your question about keeping the fuel mixed with the oil, Yes I believe that running down the freeway and down the lake are more than enough to keep your oil mixed with the gas, especially Naci :roll2:.

Yeah, the two stroke oil is VERY soluble and mixes very easily.  The only thing I have heard not to do is pour the oil first into a brand new tank, as the somewhat textured surface of polyethylene will hold some and not all will get mixed.  Once there is gas in the tank, the oil begins to mix as soon as it hits the existing gas.  I don't think it really matters which goes first after that.  I always use stabil though to keep the gas from sludging up or holding a lot of moisture.

I use he Stabil as well but alos has a big water separator filter inline
