Connie,

Just wanted everyone to know what you charge to clean a reel and what the turn around time is?

I believe you told me two weeks threw the mail? That seems pretty quick for something you have to ship to you.

I realize that this price might be variable as to if new parts are needed or not. So lets go with a reel in good shape not needing parts just a general cleaning.

well father time, we charge $17.50 to clean a reel plus parts. Two weeks isn't too long at this time. Anglers have turned into hunters and it is approaching holiday season so this is a pretty good time. If we get a back log of reels that we can't turn in two weeks, we don't accept the order. I sure don't like to send an item for repair and it doesn't return for a long time. We stock  Shimano parts so we generally do not have to wait on parts orders to fix a reel.  Anglers can also go to my web site for more info. about us. Or they can just buy the video and do their own reels during the winter months when they get cabin fever.   Thanks for the question. conniek

Hey Connie, I'm about ready to send you a few Curados but I have a couple of dumb questions for ya.....1. Do I need to remove the line from the spools or does it matter?  2. What in your opinion is the best way to pack them to keep them from getting too banged up?   3. Do I send payment ahead, or with the reels, or wait until you tell me what the final damage is :o?  4. Do you do them fancy custom paint jobs I have been seeing lol?!?!  Just kidding on that one lo!  Thanks!

Marty, leave line on, that will be fine. Pack reels carefully wrapped in newspapter and  with wadded up newspape for paddingr, be sure they are insulated from all the tossing around in transit. If I were you, I'd insure them to be on safe side. You can pay me thru pay pal. Look forward to your biz. conniek

Sounds like a plan!  How'd you know I wuz a paypal kind of guy?  lo  Neatest thing since maintenance free batteries! lol  I do a good bit of buying & selling on ebay & my paypal account gets plenty of use.  Thanks for the info, the reels are almost in the mail, I may have one last club tournament in just a few days.

My Shimano really deserves a great cleaning and lookover, but I just can't let it go! I need it. Maybe when school starts again :)

I would like to get about 5 more of them! (older bantam)
I'm sure she does a great job. Once I get this 4600c3 fixed up, I will ship it (my shimano) off and get the work done that it so desperately needs

Mike Cork

Connie only works on Shimano's anymore. Don't know if she will do a cleaning job on a Abu Garcia can't hurt to ask though. Connie will you clean other reels? I know you only repair shimano's

I was saying once I repair my Abu myself, I can afford to send my Shimano to Connie. I guess it was kinda unclear what I meant :) I only have like 3 reels, and my Shimano is my main one, so I need to fix up one of my older ones to use in its abscence
