Well I made it too cypress today and got all legal, 1st thing I did was run across from the park launch and hit a cove back there that looked good and had some fish on the depth finder. Hopped up front and picked up the c-rig with a brush hawg. 3 cast I was sweating soo bad I had bumped it twice after the cast and stoped to take my hat off and glasses to wipe the sweat off before it got in my eyes, as I took them both off, BAM!!!! Something nailed it, so I droped them and took up the slack and a good sweeping hook set felt like I drove it into a log! I reeled up slack for a sec and pulled back paused long enough to make sure it was a fish cuz it didnt feel like it was moving, then I felt it shaking its head!! Reeled in the slack again and paused, it shook some more and then I as I was pulling back it made a surge and SNAP knot failed and it was over. I dont know how big or what it was but it was the bigest thing I have ever had on my line. It felt like it was in the double digits for sure. I wont bother telling you what I did after that. For a second there I was like this cypress lake has it goin on, nuthin to catchin hawgs out here. I just hope it was a flat head or trash fish, the thought of me losing a double digit bass makes me want to toss my cookies!!! ~xyz

As bad as that hurts I sometimes think that is one of the reasons we keep trying. I have had that happen on Caddo several times and I always tell myself it was a giant catfish :'(
