Cypress Bayou Bass Fishing Report - 7/07/06

Fished Cypress last night in the Friday evening tournament with Mr. Cork.  Probably put 13 or so fish in the boat, most of them weighers.  Everything before dark came on pop-r's and I think we probaby culled all of those...only 3 or 4.  After dark the fish came on black spinnerbaits and plastic...mostly the spinnerbait.  Ended up with 8.54...good enough for 2nd.

Congrats to M&M. i just cant get a top water or spinnerbait bite going? maybe im fishing the wrong areas? i fished the same pattern that i fished last week and it didnt pan out. instead of trying to get a limit im looking for the big bite.i only had 2 bites all night, and only one got in the boat. 4.50lb

Well congrats M&M on the Cypress tourny..

Got some time off so my wife and I rented one of those small cabins for the next few days on Cypress...not bad at $55 a night.... We'll leave Sunday afternoon and back in town on Wednesday afternoon...no net connections so update when we return....No QVC for my wife either...

Now maybe I can learn the lake a little and make my donations in some of those tourny's..

Going during the week is a great idea, the weekend boat traffic is a little much right now. Top water early and lake, and if you are going to fish after dark try a spinner bait or buzz bait

My partner and I fished the tourny. I had a blast. i haven't fished at night in over 20 years. My partner put on a night fishing clinic in the front of the boat and caught all the fish after dark. We/he ended up third with the big bass also. I hope to donate to his catch next Friday night. Hope to see everyone there.
