Let the fun begin.  With season underway, what are some of the "extras" you carry with you in the boat?
Not to mention names........Super Ron........bwaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhh
jumper cables
prop wrench
extra battery
trolling motor cord
pull motor cord
tools to make the repairs on the things that break.......Super Ron..........
maybe a set of oars.......Super Ron........

Skipper (ripnlips)

I thought I saw him padlding the other day. I figured him and his son were playing a game of row, row, your boat,   bwahahahahahahaha

Seems to be I always seem to carry other peoples fish... :help:

Six pack o' Lipton Green tea, flashlight, spare prop and rope. Oooops.....and coffee thermos for the early mornings.

The push pole I did not have and needed at 3-Mile ~b~.  (Mud here, Mud there, Mud in middle, Mud everywhere; on the deck, in the live wells; just a MUDDY MESS.)

Yes my boat is a POS.  But if you look at the standings, I didn't fair any worse than most of the others in the more expensive boats.  Laugh all you want, I can take it.  Hopefully I will be fishin' one day and it will sink.  Then momma won't have a choice but to let me get a new one.  But unless it sinks I still have to wait another 835 days before I can buy a new boat.  Been looking at the Triton VT 17.  It's big enough for the bodies of water we fish and still small enough for the farm ponds I spend most of my time on.

See you guys at Manawa.  And yes, I will be in my boat.

Nobody was bashing boats....operators, maybe.  Things happen.  Boats break, old or new... BUT, the point I was hoping to get across/share was.... have the tools and necessary spare equipment to prevent that tow or paddle back to shore.

POS boats, standings or 3/4 ton suburbans not floating can be opened up later >:D

super ron

Didn't take it as you were bashing my boat.  Plus, I do that enough.  Hopefully I will eventually get on the wife's nerves and she will break down.
As far as what I carry:

jumper cables  (wouldn't have helped my boat and have them in my truck anyway)
prop wrench (No need.  Only have one prop)
extra battery (would have need to batterys for my boat and there ain't room for that in a 14ft jon)
trolling motor cord  (Will consider that)
pull motor cord (Can't fix that on the water.  Takes three hands and if I drop a part in the water I am hosed)
tools to make the repairs on the things that break (Got the tools because things of mine either break on their own or I break them)
maybe a set of oars (Had the oars.  That's how I was paddling)

But I agree with BassThumb, you need TP.  You never know when you will need to beach your boat, head up into the woods and leave an offering.  And I have tried it, leaves just don't cut it.

I forgot my best accessory:  The hand-fitted, telescopic netting device...  OBTW, it is hand fitted to Dean Machine...  I rarely use it...LoL.

I actually have some other things that have become quite handy in the past...:

Extra pins for trolling motor
SPF 50 Sun screen (but never remember to put it on)
extra billed hat (mine blew out of boat on first blast off, AND I KNOW SOMEONE AT WOOD'S picked it up!)
Spare rod and reel (already came in handy at Mozingo 4/08/06)
first aid kit
And For Dean: 1 pack of smokes/lighter...Hint Hint
and I need to get: 1 bottle of tylenol (to kill the headache after listening to Dean cry about not having any smokes...

Just think how bad Dean would scream if he ran out of smokes AND his mountain dew??????

I carry tools to do all nesscesary repairs. Dont carry jumper cables but do carry one of those jumpstart batterys that also has a plug in that i can recharge my phone or run a light if need be. I always have a push pole that converts into a paddle. I carry also extra d batterys & aa batterys for flashlights and camera. Last but not least i always have my portable marine radio in case of an emergency.

I hear Tracker03 has a jackplate mounted on the floor, behind his trolling motor, to lift him up to see over the bow...

First things first, I haven't eaten a twinkie in 20 years (which, by the way is the shelf life of a twinkie).

No Daryl #2, I have never been a twinkie fan. You and the tent peg came up with that name, and it simply doesn't fit.

And you do know, if the name doesn't fit, you have to quit...
