Grand Bayou Crappie report

Hey all I decided to lay down the Bassin equipment and try some white perch at the grand.  I had heard alot of good reports and decided to try my luck.  I stopped at the BP and bought some minnows and headed out to the lake.  The lake has come up about two feet in just two weeks.  I tied on a double rig of jigheads and tipped them with a minnow.  I caught about thirty good size slabs and had a blast.  The fish were on the bottom in 17 to 25 feet.  All were dwon by the  damn.  Just look for all of the boats gathered around each other.  Good luck to all if you decide to give it a try.

I have heard the same thing, supposedly they are still tearing them up. I have never been there, might have to try it tho. Maybe even I could catch one!

Congrats, BTW how was the fish fry??
