Alright folks, I have called all the motel/hotels in the area.  This is a preliminary list as there are cabins and houses that are rented out also.  I have ran the mileage from each hotel to the launch ramp that we will be using which is Jackson County Park 2302 co park road, Scottsboro, AL

HOTEL               RATE      PHONE       ADDRESS                              MILES

Best Western       47.50      259-4300    46 Micah Way                         2

Budget Inn           30.24      574-3163   101 Tupelo Pike                       3.3

Days inn              62.00      574-1212    23945 John T Ried Pkwy           2.2

Econo lodge          42.99      574-1010   1501 E Willow ST                     3.7

J & W Motel          ????      574-2330     206 W Willow  ST                     2.9

Comfort Inn          54.99      574-6740   23518 John T Ried Pkwy             2.2

All of these have hook ups for chargers and they are plenty of places to get some grub in town.  There is a Super Wally World and two tackle stores in the area.   If you have any questions please ask.

I didn't post the info for the cabins or rental houses as they are numerous ones in the area.  More info to come.

Couchtater,

Thanks for that info.  I know it was time consuming.   Do you know if those rates are going to still be valid in April?  I am sure  they are, just wanted to double check.

Gotstafish,

That would definately be the ticket if your bringing your boat down, and why wouldn't you? She should be thawed out of the ground by then!

Dug
In the end, it's not going to matter how many breaths you took, but how many moments took your breath away.

Are there any cabins with a dock?

I'm sure they are, but I don't have any numbers off hand.  I do know of a house that is rented that is right across the river from where we are launching from.  I will have to take a drive tomorrow and get some numbers.

Dug, when I called I asked for the rate for the month of May, so it should be the same.

What would be the best campground Tater?  close to the action, boat docks, showers etc.  I'm guessing there might be a group that will want to camp.

That would be the Campground in Jackson County Park, you can walk to the Ramp.  They have a restaraunt and a pool on the premises, plus bath houses of course.

I am fixing to post a Cabins and Camping post and that will have the information there.  ;)
