Louisiana Team Trail

If you ever wondered, how could we bring a quality, high paying team tournament circuit to Louisiana, you are not alone. Louisiana Team Trail was born by anglers, for anglers to compete in a fair, friendly and well-organized environment. States like Texas, Oklahoma and Alabama have capitalized on their vast fisheries as revenue generators and there was no reason why we could not do the same thing here in Louisiana. So, we did! The Louisiana Team Trail is the only team tournament environment incorporating area fisheries with a guaranteed first place award of $5,000 to the winning team in each tournament offering 100% payback! All angler entry fees are awarded back to the angler in the five regular season scheduled tournaments. Additional cash prizes are awarded to teams based on one place per five teams entered. The format requires upfront registration for the season so the teams that start the season complete the season without the opportunity for "jackpotting." The competition is tough, but fair. A championship consisting of the top 75% of the teams in points are eligible to fish the Championship tournament that will award the winning team $15,000. Now that's big money!

Louisiana Team Trail is entering its fourth season and continues to grow across north Louisiana. The trail was born in the northeast part of the state but has grown each year to include more fisheries and anglers from the northwestern part of the state. Points are kept for each team in each tournament leading up to the team Anglers Of the Year (AOY). With that comes recognition with belts, the prize money they most assuredly earn and free entry into the following year's competition.

In three seasons Louisiana Team Trail has been home to 156 teams, in total, and 2025 proves to be another great year. Time to register is closing fast as the deadline for registration is Friday, January 24, 2025. Anglers must register their personal information in addition to their primary boat and back-up boat, should it be necessary. Minimum liability insurance limits are also required. Registration, rules, results and schedules can be found online at louisianteamtrail.com. In person registration can be done, if necessary, at Hooked Up Marine Products, 3012 N. 7th Street, West Monroe, LA 71291 or in the Shreveport/Bossier City area, contact Andy Fearrand at 318.465.6305.
There are some things that set Louisiana Team Trail apart from other tournament organizations, not the least of which is its foundation. It is organized by unpaid volunteers as officers of a non-profit organization. The operation of the trail is covered by sponsors and the volunteer board is completely unpaid. As previously mentioned, all team entry fees are paid back to the angler. As a result, over the last three years, Louisiana Team Trail has awarded more than $160,000 in overall winnings and we're just getting started. There are no angles or hidden agendas. The purpose is simple, to promote friendly competition, high amateur prizes and growing the sport of amateur competitive bass fishing. Join Louisiana Team Trail in experiencing a truly positive impact on our economy and our heritage.

Contact info for board members is also available on the website. If there are any questions, email Glenn Miers at , but you better hurry and get registered. Come and compete with some of the best anglers and maybe you can join the winners' circle and take home some cash.
